[Amaya Travels] Tokyo Japan (Sunshine City, Odaiba, Aoyama, Koenji)

♡  Sunshine City ♡

Sunshine City is a multifunctional urban complex featuring a variety of facilities including office buildings, amusement facilities, event space, shopping centers, and a hotel that receives over 30,000,000 visitors a year.

This place is a must-go for people who love anime and games! There seems to always be an exhibit going on, and the Pokemon Center and Namjatown are sure to entertain!

Chanced upon a Kuroko no Basuke exhibit!
Gyudon ;_;

♡  Odaiba ♡

Must-have shot of the Gundam! It's been taken down now ):
This man-made bay is pretty much self-contained - there is lots to see and do here!

Runaway kid, lol

Autumn colours <3
Wanted to ride the ferris wheel but decided that being so near the sun on a warm day isn't a good idea xD

Vintage car exhibit in Venus Fort, I think!

Shrine for Takoyaki?

Japan's Statue of Liberty!

♡  Aoyama Flower Market ♡

If you love flowers and tea, then you must visit the Aoyama Flower Market! Not all branches are cafes. Highly popular, do try to go on weekdays during non-peak hours to have sufficient quiet time!

Tried out an herb tea blend!

Separate serving tray for the dessert - rose tea parfait!

Floresta donuts is the home to most of the cute animal shaped donuts I always see on the Internet, so I had to go there! It was a pleasant find to see that the entire lane of shops was being promoted and developed into a shopping district. Would like to spend more time here some day!
I completely missed seeing the indoor seating area. Guess who ate donuts in the cold XD

Sells a variety of tea in small amounts, so you can buy many types home to try!

A few interesting stores!

Would anyone try these? XD

Hope to be back here again some day!

[Amaya Travels] Tokyo, Japan (Kanda Myojin, Ramen, Okashi no Machioka)

Back to Tokyo~

♡  Kanda Myojin ♡

2-16-2, Soto-Kanda, Chiyoda, Tokyo 101-0021, Japan

Had some spare time after shopping for sweets, so I decided to visit Kanda Myojin near Akihabara. For Love Live fans, you would know that the Kanda Shrine was heavily featured in the first season of the anime. Not sure about the second because I didn't watch it :P

The famous steps.
In the anime, the girls ran up and down these steps.

Pretty drain cover!
Main compound
There was a shichi-go-san ("Seven-Five-Three") festival ongoing during the time I was there, I think. This is a traditional rite of passage and festival day in Japan for three- and seven-year-old girls and three- and five-year-old boys. Lots of well-dressed kids with their parents :P

Customary to make well wishes!

To shorten the queue, people were coordinated to stand four in a line.

And pick up your fortune~

Snacks being sold in the area
There was also alcohol xD

♡  Ramen ♡

Ippudo I think?
Tried the famous Ichiran ramen!

♡  Okashi no Machioka ♡

Kaila recommended finding these outlets for affordable sweets! Really good choice if you want to buy omiyage that isn't of the usual variety. I do find that kitkat (especially the normal flavours) aren't all that cheaper than what I can get in Singapore though. My tip: get stuff you can't get in SG!

There are a few outlets peppered around Tokyo, so look for the one nearest to you!

All things matcha!
Cute characters galore!

Gummies and sweets!
Butter chicken flavoured chips, anyone?

Also spoilt for choice when it comes to senbei (rice crackers)!

Hope you enjoyed this rather random collection of photos~!
